I am a high school Spanish teacher in East Tennessee. After earning my doctorate degree in education, going to the classroom was a midlife career change about 3 years ago. Previously, I had been a child and family counselor and a pastor. Those experiences have helped prepare me for high school students. It has been an adjustment, but well worth it all!
